  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make viburnum with sugar for the winter without cooking? Prepare your food. Collect viburnum for harvesting in the fall, at the end of September - beginning of October, it ripens by this time.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First, remove all the branches, tearing off the berries from them. Place the berries in a colander and rinse them very well under running water. Then let the water drain. If possible, dry the viburnum by spreading it in one layer on a cloth. Dry berries will be stored better.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Transfer clean viburnum to a large bowl and puree in a blender until smooth. If you don't have a blender, grind it through a meat grinder.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

This is what the final puree should look like.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Now rub this puree through a sieve into another bowl. You can leave it as is, with seeds, but without them the viburnum will turn out tastier and more pleasant to eat.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

As a result, from a kilogram of viburnum I got 700 grams of pure puree. 1 kilogram of sugar will be enough.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Sprinkle the resulting puree with sugar.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

And mix well, the sugar will dissolve in it almost instantly.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Transfer the resulting mass into clean, sterilized jars and close with clean lids. Since viburnum is fresh, unprocessed, it is better to store it in the refrigerator. Always take it out of the jar with a clean, dry spoon. Bon appetit!

Good afternoon I have a question: During storage, does the mass separate into “thickness” and “syrup”?
