  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Bring water to a boil, melt butter in water and add salt.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Add flour there. Mix thoroughly with a wooden spatula.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

As soon as the dough begins to pull away from the walls and rolls into a ball, cook it for a couple more minutes and remove from the heat.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

The dough must cool well so that the added eggs do not curl.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Once the dough has cooled, start adding eggs one at a time. Add one, stir until smooth, add the next. Repeat the procedure with the remaining eggs. When all the eggs have been added, the dough should be soft, fluffy and shiny.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Preheat the oven to 180ᵒC. Line a baking sheet with baking paper or grease with butter. Using a teaspoon or using a pastry syringe, place the dough on the baking sheet. Bake in the oven for about 35-45 minutes until golden brown. There is no need to open the oven during baking, otherwise the profiteroles will fall off and not become airy.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

All! The profiteroles are almost ready. They should be hollow inside, just enough to fill them with all kinds of fillings. When the profiteroles have cooled a little, you can make a cut in them and fill them with filling.

A very convenient option: if you want dessert, fill it with cream; if you want a cold appetizer, fill it with unsweetened filling. During the holidays, my colleague stuffs profiteroles with either mushroom pate or mincemeat. Everyone is always delighted!

Yes, I agree with you, girls! Very convenient and neat for a variety of fillings, I’m thinking of filling them with pate, otherwise I’m somehow tired of sandwiches. And they will look original on the table. Thanks for the recipe!
