Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 40 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

We wash vegetables and herbs well.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Three hard (curd) cheese on a grater (both small and large will do).

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Salt, pepper, add cream cheese. Using pressing movements using a fork, mix the cheeses and spices into a homogeneous mass.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Using a sharp knife, cut out the remaining “tails” from the tomatoes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

We make shallow cuts - approximately this depth. If you cut too deeply, the tomato may fall apart.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The result is a closed “bud” with 6 petals.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Using the rounded part of a knife or spoon (if there are none, we work with our hands, helping ourselves with a sharp knife) we clean the “buds” from the pulp. We take out all the seeds, if necessary, trim the internal partitions.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

At the bottom of the “bud” we cut a small hole with a sharp knife. We will insert the “stems” of green onion tulips into the hole.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Stuff the tulips with the filling, place the filling tightly, squeeze the petals for a strong fixation. For my tomatoes, I needed about 1 teaspoon of mass per 1 “tulip”.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

If any of the tomatoes crack during the process, don’t worry. When serving, you can place it with the crack down - and it will not be noticeable. However, such tomatoes should be pressed more tightly to the cheese.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

If you have leftover cheese, make balls or roll it into sausages and cut them into flat wheels like these.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Making weed from a cucumber. To do this, cut it in half or into 3 parts to make 2-3 hemp. Then we cut each stump lengthwise into 4 strips. Each strip - in half, and each half - diagonally. The process is clearly shown in photos and videos.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

    Cut the onion into rings.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

We form the stems and leaves of tulips from green onions. We cut off the bottom of the bulbs, leaving white bases (tulips are still bulbous plants). We cut off as many ends as we use tomatoes (in my case - 5). We will attach the tomatoes to the cut ends at a level above the cucumber “grass”. Therefore, you need to measure their height. Cut off the ends to attach different lengths - it will be more beautiful. Chop the remaining onion for sprinkling.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Place lettuce leaves on a flat dish. On top are stems for tulips made from green onions. We attach tomato tulips to the cut stems of green onions. We add cucumber herbs, salt only the cucumbers, and you can add pepper. Decorate the salad with the remaining green feathers, forming tulip leaves. Add greens, sprinkle the dish with chopped green onions.
