  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make stuffed tomatoes baked in the oven? Prepare your food. Choose tomatoes that are large enough to accommodate a portion of minced meat. Any minced meat is suitable - pork, beef, chicken, turkey or a mixture of these types of meat. I took chicken. Choose cheese that melts well.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the onion and cut into cubes. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the onion over low heat until transparent.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the tomatoes. Cut off the top and scoop out the pulp and seeds with a spoon. Do not throw away the pulp; some of it will be useful for filling.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add the minced meat to the onion and fry it well, stirring from time to time with a spatula and breaking up any lumps.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add chopped parsley and some tomato pulp. Season with salt and pepper. Fry the minced meat for another 10 minutes over low heat.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Transfer the filling to the tomatoes. Grate the cheese. Place a little grated cheese on top of each tomato.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the stuffed tomatoes in a baking dish. Bake them in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 20 minutes (until the cheese melts). There is no need to bake longer as the tomatoes may lose their shape.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Remove the finished tomatoes from the oven, cool slightly and serve as a separate dish or with any side dish. Bon appetit!

This recipe has been in my piggy bank for a long time, I was still waiting for there to be plenty of tomatoes) Now there are a lot of them, of varying degrees of ripeness. I chose hard and red ones for baking. To be honest, I didn’t weigh the tomatoes, I was guided by the amount of minced meat. It turned out to be 21 pieces. The stuffing came out with an overlay; I couldn’t find any ready-made minced meat in the store. But we are not looking for easy ways) I bought chicken thighs. But I was too lazy to remove the meat from them) So I just boiled them and removed the finished meat. For reference, chilled thighs were 800g. in tray. After cooking, about half a kilo of meat came out. I fried the onion in oil and mixed it with chicken fillet in a blender, it turned out to be a homogeneous paste, very tasty. I would have eaten it anyway) I didn’t add greens, the children wouldn’t eat it) I peeled the tomatoes, stuffed them with minced meat, sprinkled them with cheese, and put tiny pieces of butter on top of each tomato. Bake for 30 minutes. During this time, the tomatoes were almost cooked, the walls remained intact. These stuffed tomatoes turned out very juicy! The meat has acquired some sourness, it is very tasty! By the way, I crushed the inside of the tomatoes in a blender and used it as a filling for another dish. Thanks for the recipe!
