STEP 1
How to make thin, crispy waffles in an electric waffle iron? Prepare all products. The waffles turn out sweet, so you can reduce the amount if desired. Butter can be replaced with baking margarine or vegetable oil. The waffles will be less fatty, it will be easier to roll them into a tube, and the taste will not change. STEP 2
Beat the eggs into a deep bowl and, adding sugar little by little, mix with a mixer until smooth.
STEP 3
Add butter (or margarine) that has cooled to room temperature to the egg mixture and stir.
STEP 4
Then add the sifted flour in 2-3 additions, mixing well each time. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished waffles will be more tender. Depending on the quality of flour, you may need a little more or a little less. Focus on the consistency of the dough. STEP 5
The dough should be homogeneous, pourable, but not liquid. The consistency is like condensed milk.
STEP 6
Turn on and heat your waffle iron or slow cooker. In modern appliances, the green indicator lights up, which means you can cook. Do not grease the panels; there is enough oil in the dough. Some electric waffle irons have the ability to select power. Bake on medium power, this makes it easier to control the degree of frying.
STEP 7
Pour 1-2 tbsp. dough depends on the size of the panels. It is better not to add more dough than to pour too much, and then it will go beyond the boundaries of the mold. Close the lid carefully. Do everything quickly if possible.
STEP 8
The waffle takes 1-2 minutes to prepare. The time is approximate, as it will depend on the power and operating characteristics of your electric waffle iron. Read more about this at the end of the recipe. Check periodically to check the blush, cook until the color you want. The blush may lie unevenly, as in my photo, which means that the heating elements heat up this way - this is the norm, then focus on the more fried part.
STEP 9
If you plan to roll the waffles, do it immediately after removing them from the panel. The waffles simply instantly become brittle and brittle. From this dough you can roll thinner tubes - not for filling. Medium-sized tubes are good for light cream such as protein.
STEP 10
Larger diameter cones are perfect for ice cream and other desserts. If your hands don't tolerate hot temperatures at all, leave it like that. Or, while the waffle is warm, cut it into any format, for spreading or just as a snack for tea or coffee. But the waffles are very hot, and so is the waffle iron, so be careful.
STEP 11
This type of waffle is great for creating tubes and cones, from which you can later make other types of desserts. Only sometimes you need to use metal forms: Tube, Cone and others.
