STEP 1
How to stew squid in sour cream sauce? Prepare your ingredients. Pre-defrost the squids by transferring them from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Clean them by removing the outer skin, then remove the insides along with the chitinous plate. Rinse the carcasses well under running water.
STEP 2
Boil the squid. How to boil squid? Pour water into a deep saucepan and heat over high heat. Once the water boils, add salt to the pan.
STEP 3
Carefully place the squid carcasses into a pan of boiling water. Cook them literally for one to two minutes. If you cook longer, the squid meat will become tough and rubbery.
STEP 4
Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove the cooked squid from the pan. Leave them to cool.
STEP 5
Peel a large onion and cut into thin half rings.
STEP 6
Heat a frying pan over high heat. Pour in sunflower oil, heat it, reduce heat and place onion half rings in the pan. Fry the onion, stirring occasionally, over low heat for 5 minutes.
STEP 7
While the onions are frying, cut the squid into rings about one centimeter wide.
STEP 8
Once the onions are lightly browned, add the squid rings to the pan. Simmer them under a closed lid over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
STEP 9
Add sour cream and finely chopped fresh dill. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir. Warm the dish for a couple more minutes and serve! As a side dish for squid, boiled rice with butter, and in addition a salad of fresh vegetables, are suitable. Bon appetit!
