Cut the cheese. Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil, add potatoes. If the meat is fresh, add it together with finely chopped potatoes. Cook for about 30 minutes. Then add fried onions, carrots and mushrooms to the soup. Salt to taste. All this is cooked for about 5 minutes, after which we add finely chopped or grated processed cheese. Stir with a spoon until all the cheese has dissolved, then turn off the heat and let the soup brew for 10 minutes.
