STEP 1

How to make soup with canned fish and bulgur? For saury fish soup, prepare canned saury, two medium-sized potatoes, a medium onion and carrot, spices, bulgur, which can be replaced with rice, pearl barley, barley, and millet.

Wash the vegetables and peel them. Chop the potatoes coarsely and the onions and carrots into small cubes. Cover the potatoes with cold water and place on the stove to cook until half cooked. The specified amount of water can be changed up or down. It will all depend on whether you prefer a thicker or thinner soup. Also use high-quality filtered water, as tap water can give the dish a characteristic unpleasant taste.
STEP 3

Pour refined vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat well. Fry onions and carrots until soft.

Then move the vegetables to the side. Place the bulgur in the free space and lightly fry the cereal with vegetables.
STEP 5

Place the prepared roasted vegetables and bulgur into a saucepan with soup. When it boils, reduce the heat and cook until the potatoes are completely soft. Salt, add pepper and bay leaf. Add canned food to the soup, which you can first mash in a plate with a fork or divide into pieces. For flavor, pour in oil from a jar, but if you are afraid that the dish will be too greasy, use only half the oil.
STEP 6

After boiling again, the soup should simmer for 10 minutes. Add chopped herbs (dill, parsley, green onions) and turn off the heat. Cover the pan with a lid and let the soup simmer a little (10-15 minutes).
STEP 7

Serve the saury fish soup hot. It will be delicious with croutons and crackers. Bon appetit!
