Sliced milk loaf

Tired of store-bought bread? We bake our own, homemade! My husband really likes to eat a couple of pieces of a milk loaf with melted cheese for breakfast. But sometimes you are too lazy to go to the store to buy this loaf! And lately the bread has become somewhat tasteless. So I decided to try baking it at home myself. I was pleased with the result!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Necessary products.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

    Add 50 g of flour

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Mix milk with water and heat. Make a well in the flour and pour milk into it.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Knead the dough with a wooden spoon or a paddle.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Then add oil and continue kneading. First in a bowl, then dump the dough on the table and continue kneading, adding the remaining flour.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

As soon as the dough begins to lag behind your hands, stop adding flour. I usually have 20 grams of flour left. Roll the dough into a ball, grease with oil, place in a large bowl or pan, cover with a towel and put in a warm place for about two hours. Since this dough is made without steaming, it takes longer to bake.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

After two hours, knead the dough, fold it again and let it rise again for an hour.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

After that, divide it into two parts (you can bake one large loaf).

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

We knead each part into a flat cake and form a bar.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

    Wrap once

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

    second time

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

    bend the edges.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Turn seam side down and roll. Place the loaves on a baking sheet lined with a baking sheet (I use Teflon)

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Cover with a damp towel and leave to proof for about 20 minutes. Then make cuts and grease with water or oil emulsion (water and vegetable oil 50 to 50).

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 200 degrees and bake for about half an hour. Once during baking you need to sprinkle with cold water - then we are guaranteed to get a crispy crust. Be guided by the color and delicious smell from the oven.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Remove the baked loaves from the oven and wrap them in a towel.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

This is how golden they turn out! Delicious both warm and cold. Happy baking!

Yes, the bar turns out wonderful - tasty, fluffy and fragrant! I don’t buy a bread machine, I’m afraid I’ll get too carried away and won’t get through the door... And I like kneading the dough by hand better!

We love homemade bread too. When I have time, I definitely bake. I'll use the advice about oil emulsion.
