Step-by-step preparation

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

In a separate bowl, mix flour, starch and salt. If you want, add cinnamon. In another bowl, mix honey, syrup, vegetable oil, beat well. Combine both masses, knead the dough, roll it into a thin layer on the work surface. Use a special bear-shaped shape to cut out figures from the dough.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

It’s better to do this right away on greased parchment. Decorate the eyes and nose for the bears. And put a nut on everyone’s belly. You can also make a small round tail on the “butt” of the bears, but this is not necessary.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Using your fingers, carefully wrap the bear's paws so that he "holds" the nut.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

You will have some of the bears with almonds, and some with cashews.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Preheat the oven to 160C and bake for 10 minutes. If you want rosy bears, bake for another 150C for about 10-15 minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

These are such wonderful bears. It is interesting to sculpt bears with children - they can help bend their paws))) The cookies turn out small, very tasty, crumbly. After baking, the ears, eyes and nose can be painted with melted chocolate, but this is also not necessary.

Thank you for this wonderful recipe, my daughter and I had a lot of fun making and eating these cookies! I immediately fell in love with these wonderful bears when I saw the recipe for Homemade Barney Bears Shortbread with Nuts. I decided that my daughter and I definitely needed to bake the same cookies, especially since she loves to help me cook, especially pastries and desserts. Yes, I myself love such funny pastries. Perhaps the main task was to find such forms. I immediately went to online stores because I had never seen such forms in regular stores. And I was lucky, I found these forms in one popular online store, and there were forms not only of bears, but also of bunnies. As soon as the forms arrived to me, my daughter and I started baking cookies. I usually bake cookie dough with butter, but here is a recipe for lean dough and I was very interested in trying these cookies. I was a little doubtful whether to add honey, since my daughter doesn’t like it, but I still added it and for good reason, the honey in the finished cookies is practically not felt, a subtle subtle taste. For nuts, I only used almonds. My daughter said that almonds look like a rugby ball. This is how we got “rugby bears and bunnies”. We also made “baseball bats” from dough. I baked the cookies for almost 11 minutes. The cookies were well baked, only the edges were browned, the cookies themselves were not overdried, tender, slightly crumbly, and did not crumble much. My daughter and I decorated the “rugby balls and baseball bats” some more with sugar and chocolate icing. The most fun moment was eating cookies. We even played with these cookies a little before eating them. The cookies taste very pleasant, moderately sweet and not bland. My daughter happily ate it with a cup of milk and hot chocolate. But personally, I missed the creamy taste in these cookies, I like it when cookies taste like butter, but there is none here. And I would also try adding powdered milk to the dough, it makes the cookies much tastier. But overall the cookies are good, especially since the child liked them. So be sure to make these cookies with your child, you can both play and eat. Very funny and cute cookies every child will like. Thanks for the recipe, we had fun and delicious!

Here it is written in detail how to cook invert syrup https://bestrecipes24.com/cooking/5705-invertnji-sirop Just don’t add soda and lime. You need to look for molds in the store, if you’re lucky enough to find them. Or you can make a stencil out of cardboard and cut out the figures using a sharp knife according to the stencil.
