Sausages in dough from ready-made dough in the oven

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make sausages in dough from ready-made puff pastry in the oven? Prepare your ingredients. You can use either store-bought dough or your own homemade dough. You will find the recipes after the last step. Remove the dough from the freezer in advance. Cook the sausages until half cooked. Two minutes will be enough. Let the sausages cool and dry; you can also pat them dry with a paper towel. You don’t have to pre-cook the sausages, but I like it better this way.
STEP 2

Turn the oven to 180 degrees. Cut one layer of dough in half. Lightly roll one part into a rectangle with a rolling pin; if necessary, you can lightly dust the work surface with flour. The length of the rectangle should be the same size as the sausage. Make five small horizontal cuts on one side (as in the photo), place the sausage in the middle.
STEP 3

Cover the sausage with the whole edge and then the slotted edge. Do the same with all the dough and all the sausages. There will be four blanks in total.
STEP 4

Place the blanks on a baking sheet or in a pan lined with parchment. You can choose the right parchment paper by reading a separate article about the features of parchment, the link is at the end of the recipe. My pan is small and only fit two sausages, so I baked it in two batches. Brush the dough with beaten egg. You can use only the yolk, then the crust will be darker.
STEP 5

Bake the sausages in the dough in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 25-30 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Remove the finished sausages from the oven and serve. Bon appetit!
