    How to make a salad with carrots and sour cream? Prepare your food. Take juicy, sweet, large carrots. You can use both shelled and whole nuts and peel them yourself. Sour cream is suitable for any fat content. Instead, natural yogurt, without additives, is also suitable.

    Rinse the carrots very well under running water; it’s even better to use a brush to wash off all the dirt. Then peel it using a vegetable peeler. Cut off the ends. Grate the carrots on a coarse or medium grater. Transfer the grated carrots to the salad bowl.

    Grind the nuts in any way. You can chop them with a knife on a board, punch them in a blender or pound them in a mortar, like I did. Adjust the size of the nut crumbs yourself - you can make very small pieces or, conversely, leave them large. To make the nuts more flavorful, you can pre-dry them in a dry frying pan.

    Pour the chopped nuts into the salad bowl with the carrots. Peel the garlic clove and squeeze it through a press. Or chop it with a knife. If you like spicier food, increase the amount of garlic.

    Prepare sour cream sauce. Place the sour cream in a bowl, add sugar and salt. Pour in a little lemon juice. You can use apple cider vinegar instead of juice. Stir the sour cream and pour it into the salad bowl with the carrots.

We bought carrots that were so juicy and sweet that I immediately wanted to make a salad out of them. I liked the salad with carrots and sour cream. I grated the carrots on a coarse grater, although I usually use a medium grater. I made a dressing separately: mixed 20% sour cream, garlic, salt, sugar, apple cider vinegar and freshly ground pepper. I didn’t add nuts to the salad itself, but placed them on the table separately, since we have people who like to pick them out of carrots). The taste of the salad amazed me, it’s something new! On the one hand there is a bright sweetish taste, and on the other there is garlic spiciness and sourness. I think this is a good combination, very tasty. This is how you can diversify your usual salad.

I really like simple dishes and snacks, so this salad with carrots and sour cream suited me very well. You can add nuts, raisins, dried apricots, prunes, honey to it, make it sweeter or completely unsweetened. Perfect salad!
