Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 1 hr 30 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make rye bread? Measure out all the necessary ingredients. You can use regular rye flour, but whole grain bread will be even healthier. Pre-boil the water and cool it. Choose refined, odorless oil. In addition to sesame, you can use other seeds: flax, pumpkin, sunflower.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Sift rye flour into a bowl. Make a hole in the middle and pour in cool boiled water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add vegetable oil and salt. Start kneading the dough first with a spoon, then with your hands. If the dough comes out too stiff, add a little water, if liquid, add flour. Finally knead the dough on a table sprinkled with flour.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

You should get a soft, plastic dough. Gather it into a ball and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour, covering it with a napkin or cling film so that it does not dry out on top.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the dough from the refrigerator on a work surface (it is convenient to use a silicone mat). Roll out with a rolling pin into a thin layer about 4 mm thick. Sprinkle it evenly with sesame seeds and run the rolling pin over the dough again.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cut the dough into small rectangles or squares. It is convenient to do this with a pizza cutter. Place them on a baking sheet previously lined with parchment paper. Prick the loaves with a fork.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees in advance. Bake the loaves for about 15-20 minutes. Focus on the features of your technology. When the baked goods are browned, remove the pan. Let the breads cool completely. Bon appetit!

Buying high-quality bread is expensive, but making it yourself is not that difficult. There are many options for bread. I like this one - with whole grain and rye flour.

I prepared the rye bread with some deviations from the recipe, but despite this they turned out great. Firstly, when weighing the rye flour, I did not have the required amount; I had to add about 50 g of wheat flour. Secondly, I accidentally added a little more vegetable oil. Thirdly, there was absolutely no time to wait a whole hour for the dough to cool, so I used it immediately after kneading. I ended up with three trays of great rye crunchy crackers! I rolled out the dough very thin, so they baked quickly - about 10 minutes. I really liked the recipe, the whole family enjoyed crunching it over tea!
