Rice with egg Japanese style

Japanese cuisine in its most accessible and simple form! A dish especially for those who are not indifferent to oriental cuisine. For the Japanese, rice is a sacred food and they have a special attitude towards it. They call it “gohan”, which means “main food”.

Let's start with rice. We rinse it thoroughly in cold water about seven times until the water becomes clear. Then put the rice in a saucepan and fill it with water. Without covering the pan with a lid, put it on high heat. When the rice boils, immediately cover the pan with a lid and turn the heat to minimum. After 15 minutes, turn off the heat and do not open the lid for 10 minutes. While the rice is cooking, wash and chop a bunch of green onions

Today I made Japanese rice with egg. I took regular round grain rice. I replaced the green onions with parsley and dill. And since the greens don’t need to be fried, I first added the eggs, beaten with a fork, into the frying pan and almost immediately added the chopped greens. Fry the egg with herbs for a couple of minutes in a frying pan, stirring until cooked. Next, I added rice cooked according to the proposed method (by the way, the rice turned out excellent - crumbly). Pour in soy sauce and mix everything. Covered it with a lid and let it sit. It turned out delicious. The whole family liked it. Thanks for the great recipe!
