I decided to bake sweet pies and turned to a quick pies recipe. It attracted my attention due to the availability of ingredients and the fact that the dough can be used immediately after kneading, that is, without proofing. Before making the dough, I diluted the yeast in hot water with salt and two teaspoons of sugar (I didn’t add any more sugar to the dough, since I like unsweetened dough). When the yeast started working and a foamy cap formed on the surface of the water, I kneaded the dough. I got it soft, elastic, not sticky, obedient. My filling was sweet and very juicy - from frozen gooseberries, which I previously defrosted, heated with sugar on the stove, then added flour to the berries for viscosity. Because of the juiciness of the filling, I decided to make open pies. In the oven they “grew”, becoming twice as large, and browned well, although I did not grease them with anything before baking. The results were aromatic, soft with porous meat, filling and tasty. Thank you very much for the recipe!
