Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 1 hr
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Ingredients.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

The dough is made quickly. Mix all dry ingredients: 2 cups flour, salt

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

    and soda

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Then add slightly warmed kefir

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Knead the dough, adding the 3rd glass of flour, so that the dough does not turn out too tight (you may not need the whole glass of flour), it should be elastic. If the dough sticks to your hands, grease them with vegetable oil.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Divide the dough into 12 parts, cover with cellophane so that it does not dry out while we make the filling.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

We clean the pumpkin from peel and seeds. Grate on a coarse grater

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Heat a frying pan and melt the butter

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the pumpkin in the pan and add sugar. I added 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sugar, but focus on the sweetness of the pumpkin. Simmer the pumpkin over medium heat for about 20 minutes, until cooked. Then let it cool, you can put the frying pan in a container with cold water to speed up the process

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Turn on the oven at 180 degrees. While it is heating, we form the pies. Roll out the dough pieces into an oval shape

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Place the filling in the center

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

You can roll it like regular pies or weave it into a spikelet. To do this, fold one edge over the filling.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Then take the right side of the dough

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Cover the filling towards the middle with a slight overlap on the left side

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Then take the dough on the left

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Cover with an overlap to the right

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

    Then again to the right

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

    And on the left

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

    To end

  20. STEP 20

    STEP 20

    You will get a spikelet

  21. STEP 21

    STEP 21

Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil or cover with parchment paper as you usually do

  22. STEP 22

    STEP 22

Place the pies, beat the egg, brush the pies with it

  23. STEP 23

    STEP 23

Bake for approximately 20 - 25 minutes, until golden brown.

  24. STEP 24

    STEP 24

To bake these pies, you can make any filling - with apples or carrots. The carrots will also need to be simmered with sugar until tender. And for the apple filling, you can grate them or finely chop them and sprinkle with sugar. In general, to your taste and color. Bon appetit!

A recipe that does not require a lot of effort. It is prepared quickly and very simply. The shape holds well. They turn out moderately soft, moderately crispy. I did not make the filling according to the recipe. I opened a jar of cabbage with rice and tomatoes (my mother calls this preparation “Tourist’s Breakfast”). I added fried onions. While the pies were in the oven, I thought that the kids wouldn’t wait. As soon as our rosy beauties were taken out.. no longer paying attention to the fact that they were hot, they began to crave. Thank you very much to the AUTHOR!!!
