Pumpkin-carrot juice with water

An unusually healthy juice - recommended for adults and children. With a minimum of effort, you get a tasty and natural drink without any harmful additives. In winter, this is just what we need, because it is at this time of year that we are so lacking in vitamins, which are contained in sufficient quantities in this juice.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

In this recipe I will tell you how to make carrot and pumpkin juice for the winter. We take the products that we will need for the juice.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

We clean and chop the carrots. You can do this using a fine grater, or you can grind it in a blender - this will release more juice. If you use a blender, cut the carrots into large pieces in advance.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Transfer the resulting mass to cheesecloth and squeeze out the juice. Mix it with sugar syrup and season with lemon juice. To prepare sugar syrup, mix sugar and water in the indicated proportions in a saucepan and bring everything to a boil. Cook the mixture over moderate heat while stirring until the sugar dissolves, remove from heat and cool slightly.

    STEP 4

We do the same with pumpkin. We clean it and cut it into large cubes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Grind in a blender and squeeze out the juice. You can also use a juicer to grind carrots and pumpkins, then you won’t need to squeeze out the juice.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix pumpkin juice with sugar syrup.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Season the resulting mixture with lemon juice.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

    Mix juices in a saucepan.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the pan on the fire and bring its contents to a boil.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Let the mixture boil for five minutes, after which we filter the juice and pour it into jars, which must first be sterilized. We roll up the jars with sterilized lids, turn them over, wrap them and wait for them to cool completely. After this, we send the juice to the basement for long-term storage.
