STEP 1

How to make puff pastry from puff pastry without yeast with cheese in the oven? Prepare your food. The dough for this recipe is ready-made, but if you wish, you can make it yourself. Pre-defrost the frozen semi-finished product by transferring it from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator - this way all the properties of the dough will be preserved.
STEP 2

Turn on the oven to preheat immediately, as the puff pastries form very quickly. Set the temperature to 180°C, in an electric oven set to top-bottom mode. And start filling. Grate the cheese. Absolutely any cheese will do - hard, soft, the main thing is that it is of high quality and natural. I took maasdam and suluguni, puff pastries with cheese or feta are very tasty. For soft cheeses, simply mash them with a fork.
STEP 3

Beat the egg into the cheese. Mix the filling well. If your cheese does not have a strong taste, you can add salt and pepper.
STEP 4

Usually the finished dough is sold in two pieces. Do one first, then the other. Place the dough on the table. If it starts to stick, dust your work surface with flour. Roll out the layer a little to a thickness of about 0.5 cm. You should not roll it out too much - you can damage the structure of the layers.
STEP 5

Cut the dough into squares. From one piece I got 4 pieces. Place a tablespoon of cheese filling in the center of each square.
STEP 6

Form puff pastries by folding the squares diagonally. Carefully crimp the edges using the tines of a fork. In general, you can make puff pastries of any shape, I wrapped two in an envelope. But I liked the triangles better. Make puff pastries from the second layer in the same way. Cover a baking sheet with parchment and place the pieces on it.
STEP 7

Beat the yolk of one egg with a fork, you can pour a teaspoon of water into it. Brush the puff pastry with yolk using a pastry brush. Read the separate article at the end of the recipe for how to lubricate the dough before baking. Sprinkle the tops of the puff pastries with sesame seeds.
STEP 8

Bake the puff pastries in a preheated oven until golden brown. This will take 20-30 minutes, the exact time will depend on the features of your oven and the size of the puffs. Read about the operating features of different ovens at the end of this recipe. Mine took half an hour to bake.
STEP 9

Remove the finished puff pastries from the oven, cool slightly and serve. Bon appetit!
