STEP 1
How to make puff pastries with green onions and eggs in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. I use yeast puff pastry. But you can also take yeast-free ones. Along with green onions, you can add other fresh herbs. Remove the dough from the freezer in advance and leave it at room temperature to defrost and warm up.
STEP 2
Wash the eggs in running water and baking soda to remove dirt and boil them in advance. To do this, fill them with water and bring to a boil. Cook for 7-8 minutes. Then drain the hot water and let the eggs cool by pouring cold water over them. Peel the cooled eggs from their shells.
STEP 3
Finely chop the green onions and place in a bowl. Add salt and remember with your hands. This will make the onions softer and more flavorful.
STEP 4
Finely chop the eggs and add to the bowl with the onions.
STEP 5
Add mayonnaise and mix everything. You can add ground pepper or dried aromatic herbs.
STEP 6
Roll out the dough and cut into squares. Pies can be made in any shape. I will have triangular ones. Place the filling on each square of dough and close it with a corner. Pinch the edges and form into a pie.
STEP 7
Line a baking tray with baking parchment and place the pies on it. Let it sit for a while before baking.
STEP 8
To ensure that the finished pies are golden brown, brush the tops with egg yolk. You can sprinkle with sesame seeds. Pierce the top of each pie with a fork to release hot steam. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. Time and temperature are approximate, use your oven as a guide.
STEP 9
The finished puff pastry pies have browned and increased slightly in size. Remove them from the oven, cool slightly and serve. Delicious with soup instead of bread. Bon appetit!
