Puff envelopes with cheese

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

To prepare puff pastries, prepare everything you need. You can make puff pastry yourself, but it will be faster to buy ready-made ones. It’s no worse, but it saves a lot of time. Remove the dough from the freezer in advance and let it defrost at room temperature. I will use Adyghe cheese. Feta, suluguni, or parmesan are also perfect. When choosing cheese, be guided by your taste.
STEP 2

To prepare the cheese filling, grate the cheese on a coarse grater and add the egg yolk to it. Leave the white in a separate bowl. It is useful for greasing the surface of the envelopes before baking. Mix the yolk with grated cheese.
STEP 3

Roll out the soft puff pastry on a table sprinkled with a little flour. Cut the dough into 9 squares, approximately the same size.
STEP 4

Place a little cheese filling in the center of each square. Connect the corners of the dough in the middle and pinch the edges, forming an envelope like this.
STEP 5

Cover a baking tray with baking paper and place all the prepared envelopes on it. Grease the surface of the envelopes with the reserved egg white. It is convenient to use a brush for lubrication.
STEP 6

Sprinkle all the envelopes with sesame seeds on top. Place the baking sheet with the envelopes in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for 30 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide. The finished envelopes will become an appetizing golden color and will increase slightly in volume.
STEP 7

Remove the envelopes from the oven, cool slightly and serve. They go great with hot, sweet tea. When hot, they instantly fly off the table. Enjoy your meal!
