Potatoes under a fur coat in the oven

STEP 1

How to make potatoes under a fur coat in the oven? Prepare the necessary products. I used ham; any boiled sausage or bacon would also work. The fat content of sour cream can be any.
STEP 2

Wash the pre-peeled onions and cut into small cubes.
STEP 3

Peel the garlic and chop it in a convenient way. You can pass the garlic through a press or grate it on a fine grater, or finely chop it.
STEP 4

Cut the pre-peeled potatoes into slices.
STEP 5

In a suitable sized bowl, combine chopped potatoes, onions, chopped garlic, ground black pepper, and herbes de Provence. Salt, add vegetable oil. Mix everything well. You can use any spices and seasonings to taste.

For the “fur coat,” cut the ham into small pieces of arbitrary shape. For example, thin bars or cubes.
STEP 7

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
STEP 8

Combine ham, cheese and sour cream. Mix well.
STEP 9

Place the potatoes in a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C until almost done, about 30 minutes. Cooking time may vary, as it depends on the operating characteristics of the oven.
STEP 10

Check the potatoes for doneness by piercing a circle with a fork. If the potatoes are almost soft, remove the pan from the oven. If the potatoes dry out during cooking, cover the pan with a layer of foil.
STEP 11

Place the prepared “fur coat” on the potatoes in an even layer.
STEP 12

Place the pan back in the oven and cook the dish for about 15 minutes more. The “fur coat” should set and brown around the edges.
STEP 13

Serve the potatoes hot. Bon appetit!
