Potatoes in the oven without meat
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake potatoes in the oven without meat? Prepare the ingredients for the dish according to the list. There are few of them, and they will always be found at home. If desired, the composition of spices can be changed by selecting them according to taste and availability. You can also use any greens you like, I used frozen ones.
STEP 2
Wash the potatoes. The dish will turn out especially tasty if you use young potatoes to prepare it and bake them in their skins. But if the potatoes are old, then it is better to peel them. Cut the washed potatoes into slices that resemble orange slices in appearance. Rinse them of starch; it is more convenient to do this by placing the potatoes in a colander. Then let the water drain.
STEP 3
Pour water into a saucepan or other metal container and place it on the fire. When the water boils, place the potato wedges in boiling water. Cook them over medium heat for about 3 minutes from the moment they boil. Then drain the water by placing the potatoes in a colander again and allowing the water to drain completely. This pre-cooking will soften the potatoes and reduce cooking time.
STEP 4
Place the potatoes in a deep bowl. Add salt, ground black pepper, sweet paprika, pressed garlic and finely chopped fresh parsley and dill. Wash and dry the greens first. Frozen, like mine, you can put it just like that. If you wish and taste, you can add any other spices or seasoning for potatoes.
STEP 5
Pour in olive oil. Mix the potatoes thoroughly, you can do this with your hands, so that all the slices are covered with the marinade. Leave the potatoes in it for 20 minutes.
STEP 6
Line a baking pan or baking sheet with parchment. Place the pickled potatoes on parchment, leaving space between the pieces. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the potatoes for about 30 minutes. It should brown slightly. Determine readiness with a sharp knife - it should easily pierce the slice.
STEP 7
Remove the potatoes, let them cool slightly and serve as a separate dish or as a side dish. If desired, you can serve fresh vegetables and sauces with the potatoes: sour cream, garlic, cheese or mustard. Bon appetit!
