Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a poached egg in a bag? Prepare all the necessary products. Basically, we only need an egg and salt. We will be salting the finished dish, so you can use Svan or Adyghe salt rather than ordinary table salt. A home-made egg or the CO category is preferable. They are not only large in size, but also have a brightly colored yolk, which adds brightness to the dish. Read all the subtleties of choosing eggs in the article at the end of this recipe.
STEP 2
Prepare a small bowl. Place a piece of cling film on top so that the ends hang freely at the edges.
STEP 3
Using a pastry brush, brush the film with a drop of any vegetable oil.
STEP 4
Rinse the egg well. Pay special attention to this process, because... the surface of the eggshell contains a large number of bacteria. Wash the eggs in warm water, preferably using a special brush and food detergent. Nowadays there are already washed eggs on sale, so you can use them, but keep in mind that their shelf life is usually shorter than regular eggs.
STEP 5
Gently crack the egg into the film, making sure to keep the yolk intact. Lift the edges of the film and tie it into a knot. Try not to leave any air inside.
STEP 6
Boil water in a saucepan. Carefully lower the egg covered in film into the boiling water. Cook at a constant low simmer for 4-5 minutes. The white should be well set and the yolk should be half cooked.
STEP 7
Remove the film with the egg from the pan and cool slightly.
STEP 8
Carefully separate the film from the egg itself and salt the finished product. If you wish, season the egg with some of your favorite spices: ground hot pepper, garlic powder or paprika, preferably smoked, it will be very appropriate. Or maybe you decide to sprinkle the finished poached egg with fresh dill or green onions - choose to your taste.
STEP 9
Serve a poached egg boiled in a plastic bag at home with fresh bread and seasonal vegetables. Bon appetit!
