STEP 1
How to make pike marinated with onions? Prepare your food. It is better if the fish is fresh, recently caught. If it’s frozen, don’t worry, everything will work out, the main thing is to defrost it correctly. Clean the pike from scales, remove the head, tail, entrails, spine and bones. Rinse the fillet and pat dry.
STEP 2
First cut the pike fillet into thin pieces, and then each piece into halves.
STEP 3
Peel the onion and cut into thin half rings.
STEP 4
Place pike pieces in a bowl, add salt and sugar. Mix the fish thoroughly with your hands, rubbing the spices into each piece.
STEP 5
Place a layer of onion in a jar (0.5 l) or other container for marinating, then a layer of fish. Choose dishes for marinating from non-oxidizing materials - glass, stainless steel, enamel.
STEP 6
Add layers in the same order until the pike and onions are gone. Lightly compact the food as you go so everything fits.
STEP 7
Prepare the marinade. How to make a marinade? Combine vegetable oil and table vinegar. Stir the marinade until it forms a homogeneous emulsion. Pour the marinade over the pike and onions. Cover the jar with a lid and place the pike in the refrigerator to marinate for 2 days. Shake the jar of fish periodically. Serve the finished fish along with onions and marinade to the table.
