Omelet strips with cherry tomatoes, bacon pieces and grated cheese

The classic egg omelet, presented in a completely new way! This recipe is interesting for its traditional classic taste and its unusual presentation. After all, even porridge laid out in a beautiful bowl and decorated, for example, with fruit, is much tastier than just porridge placed on an ordinary plate.

Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 20 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Beat chicken eggs into a deep container. Add a little salt (you can also add a little black pepper if you wish).

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Next, using a whisk, beat the eggs with salt until light foam appears. Then put the frying pan on the fire, adding a piece of butter. As soon as the butter is melted, pour the egg mixture into the frying pan, immediately cover the frying pan with a lid and cook the omelette until cooked (there is no need to turn it over and fry it on both sides).

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

While the omelet is preparing, you need to prepare the remaining ingredients. To begin with, you can grate the cheese on a fine grater or a special grater, turning it into crumbs (as Parmesan cheese is served when serving pasta). The taste of the finished dish depends on how the cheese is grated. I prefer the second option.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Now we need to get to the bacon. Cut the smoked and boiled bacon into small cubes, then lightly fry in a frying pan without adding any oil. You can also use raw smoked bacon, but it is fattier and has a slightly different taste. It seems to me that such bacon will overpower the delicate taste of the omelette.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

    Cut cherry tomatoes in half.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

When the omelette is ready, place it on a work surface and cut into strips. To make the omelette strips beautiful, I used a ruler, but this is not at all necessary.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Now you should beautifully place the omelette strips on a plate, sprinkling them with grated cheese on top.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Next, sprinkle the prepared dish with small cubes of fried bacon and place chopped cherry halves on top.
