  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a non-alcoholic mojito? Prepare your ingredients. Wash the lime and lemon thoroughly and dry. Also wash fresh mint with cold running water and dry with paper towels.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the lime and lemon into thin half-circles or quarters. The shape of the cut does not play a fundamental role here and will not affect the taste of the drink.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the chopped citrus fruits in a container. Add regular sugar. It is better to replace it with cane sugar, then the taste of the drink will acquire a pleasant caramel note. Or use a sweetener.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add mint leaves, which you first tear into pieces with your hands or finely chop with a knife (you can grind in a mortar until the juice releases).

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Using a fork or spoon, thoroughly mash the lemon, lime and mint. You can also grind the ingredients in a mortar. It is very important that the juice is released from these components, so the cocktail will be even more rich and aromatic.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Divide the resulting mixture into pre-washed and dried glasses. Fill the contents with a sprite. Instead of Sprite, you can use regular sparkling water without additives.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place some of the ice in a blender jar. Beat it until it forms coarse crumbs. You can crush ice in another way. Wrap the ice cubes in a towel. Beat it a little with a rolling pin.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Add crushed ice (about 0.75 glass volume) and whole ice cubes to the drink. How to make ice correctly? To make it clear, use cold boiled or still purified water. Do not use tap water, it will give the drink an unpleasant aftertaste. Boil the water for about 2 minutes. Cool. Repeat boiling. Cool to room temperature. Pour into ice cube trays. Place in the freezer until completely frozen.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Garnish the drink with whole lime slices and mint leaves. Drink immediately after preparation, before the ice melts. Serve the drink with a cocktail straw.

While I was preparing lunch, I made myself a non-alcoholic mojito. A very invigorating and refreshing drink in the heat! I love this cocktail and make it with different flavors: lemon, orange, strawberry. This time I wanted something new. Unfortunately, you won’t find lime in our nearest store, so I made do with a juicy lemon. I have lemon mint and a little pepper mint “with a chill”. There is a wide choice of soda now, I took the regular lemon one. Although the second time I poured high-quality tarragon into a glass, it turned out very tasty! The recipe uses sugar, it perfectly helps to “squeeze” the juice out of the lemon and mint when grinding. I decided to experiment with ice. I had frozen cucumber juice in the freezer. I usually use it for cosmetic purposes. But this green ice also looks great in a mojito; it doesn’t change the taste of the drink much! It's also useful.) I recommend this cool summer drink to everyone, it quenches your thirst wonderfully!
