STEP 1

How to make mackerel baked in foil in the oven with lemon? Prepare your food. My fish was not gutted, I took special spices “for fish”.
STEP 2

The first step is to gut the mackerel. To do this, cut it along the belly from head to tail and remove the entrails. It is also better to remove the black film that covers the inside of the abdomen. I'm going to bake the fish head on. If you want, you can cut it off.
STEP 3

A deep baking sheet works well for baking mackerel in the oven. It needs to be lined with foil. Grease the foil with vegetable oil.
STEP 4

Put our fish down. Salt and season on both sides and inside the belly.
STEP 5

Cut the lemon into large slices and place on top of the fish.
STEP 6

Cover with a second piece of foil and fold the ends inward so the bottom foil is tightly curled. Then nothing will leak out. Place the baking sheet with the fish in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake for 20 minutes.
STEP 7

After 20 minutes, remove the baking sheet and carefully remove the top layer of foil. Carefully! Hot steam inside! Don't get burned! Leave the already opened fish for another ten minutes in the oven until it browns. I turned on the convection mode. Remove the finished fish and serve after cooling slightly.
