Lightly salted cucumbers with dill

Crispy, aromatic, spicy, very tasty. Lightly salted cucumbers with dill will be an excellent addition not only to a dinner with boiled new potatoes, but also to a barbecue outdoors. Due to the short pickling time, cucumbers retain their beautiful green color.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make lightly salted cucumbers with dill? Prepare the necessary ingredients. It is better to take cucumbers that are young, not too large and watery, with smooth, whole skin, without spots. The amount of salt and sugar is approximate, it can be changed up or down. Choose unscented vegetable oil.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the cucumbers under running cold water. Cut off their ends. Cut each cucumber lengthwise into four pieces. With this cutting, the cucumbers will pickle faster and will be more convenient to pick up. Now you can do it in two ways: put the cucumbers in a plastic bag and marinate in it, or put the cucumbers in a flat bowl, container or handicap. I made them in a bowl, and I didn’t like that they had to be turned over all the time.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash and dry fresh dill. Finely chop the dill and add to the cucumbers. Peel the garlic cloves and pass through a press. Add chopped garlic to cucumbers and herbs. Add salt, sugar and vinegar. You can take vinegar with a lower percentage or replace it with lemon juice, but the taste will be different.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Mix the cucumbers well with all the ingredients. Heat the vegetable oil in the microwave (literally 5 - 10 seconds) to a temperature of no more than 60 degrees, pour it into the cucumbers and stir. Warm oil will help the spices dissolve faster and begin the marinating process.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cover the bowl with cucumbers and leave to cool at room temperature, then put in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. The cucumbers should be turned over several times so that they are completely marinated on all sides. Bon appetit!

Every year, as soon as young greenhouse cucumbers appear, I make this snack. Only before I made it according to my mother’s recipe in a bag and the marinade was a little different. This year I opened the season with lightly salted cucumbers with dill according to this recipe. For this I selected small cucumbers with thin skins. Young tender dill was found in the garden. True, I doubled the amount of ingredients so that everyone would have enough of this deliciousness) I really liked the marinade, it contains everything in moderation. I only took apple cider vinegar 6%, in my opinion it is softer. The appetizer was infused in the refrigerator for four hours, the cucumbers were stirred periodically. It turned out just great! The cucumbers remained fresh and crispy, not even limp. The aroma of cucumbers, dill and garlic is so tantalizing that even my daughter appreciated it) The cucumbers are very tasty, spicy with a sweet and sour aftertaste. Great for a picnic, barbecue, or just a snack.

During the cucumber season there are such an abundance of them that you simply don’t know where to put them. I decided to marinate according to this recipe. The perfect combination of cucumbers, garlic and dill! I was very pleased, the cucumbers turned out crispy, moderately spicy and incredibly aromatic. I marinated in a container, periodically shaking it with sharp movements, without opening the lid. Yeah...with boiled potatoes, lightly salted cucumbers with dill, that's it!

Cucumbers are always very healthy and tasty, and often in the summer when there are a lot of them you don’t know what to do with them. This recipe is the simplest, easy and accessible, there is nothing complicated, anyone can make it. If you don’t have a pen, then you can do it without pepper; if you don’t have dill, then you can only add garlic and some seasonings! Thanks to the author, I tried the recipe, it’s very tasty and fast!

I made cucumbers in a bag. They turned out excellent, tasty, even after a couple of days of lying in this brine, the taste did not “spoil” as happens with ordinary lightly salted cucumbers (they simply become salted). In the photo there are fewer cucumbers than were made, the rest has already been eaten.
