STEP 1
How to make lentil puree? Very simple! Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
STEP 2
Rinse the lentils well under cool running water, place in a sieve and leave for a few minutes. The water must be allowed to drain.
STEP 3
Take a pan, put the lentils in it, fill it with water and put it on the fire. Take clean, filtered water.
STEP 4
Bring to a boil and skim off any foam that forms.
STEP 5
Add salt, add spices if desired, reduce heat to moderate and cover the pan with a lid. You can use any spices to suit your taste.
STEP 6
Cook the lentils until the water has almost completely evaporated. Turn off the heat and let the pan stand with the lid closed for five minutes. During this time, all remaining liquid will be absorbed.
STEP 7
Next, take an immersion blender and puree the lentils. You can use a regular potato masher. Or even with a spoon, because lentils cook well.
STEP 8
Add butter to the still hot lentils and stir. Our red lentil puree is ready. Place the delicious lentil puree on plates, sprinkle some herbs on top and serve. Bon appetit!
