    How to make sauce from ketchup and mayonnaise? First, prepare the necessary ingredients. For the base, you can use any mayonnaise and ketchup of your choice, store-bought or homemade. Instead of ketchup, you can use tomato paste, but then you will need to add salt, paprika and other spices to taste.

    Combine mayonnaise and ketchup in a bowl. I recommend using at least homemade mayonnaise. Your ketchup can be sweet or spicy, it’s up to you to choose.

    Add all the spices. Mix the resulting mixture well until all the spices are dispersed. You should get a pink mass. Usually mayonnaise and ketchup contain enough salt and other spices in their composition. But it’s better to taste the sauce and, if necessary, add everything you need. If you want a smoother mixture, add garlic powder instead of garlic. This is exactly what I do.

Snezhana is right, indeed, the sauce is universal and suitable for many dishes. I prepared this sauce with both dried and fresh garlic. With fresh garlic it turns out a little differently, even more pronounced and aromatic. It has been tested that shawarma, pizza, and salad using this sauce turn out very tasty. I am attaching photo reports. When preparing pizza, I coated the pizza base itself with sauce, but when preparing salad, I made something like a “mesh”, decorating the salad with such a pattern. I’m not sure that this sauce will go well with mushrooms (as written by the author of the recipe), in any case, I would not combine them.

The sauce for this recipe is a classic for meat. I always make this sauce for barbecue, it’s a tradition for us.
