Juicy pink salmon fillet baked in the oven

STEP 1

How to bake juicy pink salmon fillet in the oven? Prepare your food. I cooked from frozen fillets, but you can use fresh fish. If necessary, defrost the fish on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Do not defrost completely, this will make it easier to clean and fillet. How to fillet fish? Remove fins and head and gut. Cut along the ridge of the carcass to the spine. Turn over onto its side. Using a sharp knife, cut the meat from the spinal bone.
STEP 2

Turn the carcass over to the other side and cut the fillet from the other side. Remove the skin from the fillet with a knife. Rub the fish fillet with salt, ground pepper and spices (basil, oregano) or use ready-made spices for fish. Sprinkle lemon juice on top. Leave the fish to marinate for 30 minutes.
STEP 3

Peel the onions and carrots. Finely chop. To prevent onion juice from irritating your eyes so much when slicing, rinse the onion and knife under running cold water. If you grease the cutting board with a slice of lemon, it will not absorb the onion smell. Heat well the refined vegetable oil with a high degree of smoke in a frying pan. Fry the vegetables for a couple of minutes, stirring until the onion is translucent and the carrots are soft.
STEP 4

Take a sheet of foil of the appropriate size. Place fried onions and carrots on it.
STEP 5

Place pink salmon fillet on top of the vegetable bed and carefully cover the fish with foil. You can wrap it in several layers of foil so that the released juice does not leak out during baking. Transfer the fish to a baking sheet.
STEP 6

Bake the fish in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 20 minutes. Remove the baking sheet with pink salmon, open the foil and return it to the oven to bake for another 10 minutes. Serve the finished fish with salad and rice. Bon appetit!
