Juicy minced pork and beef cutlets in a frying pan
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make cutlets from minced pork and beef? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. You can grind the minced meat yourself in a meat grinder from fresh, high-quality meat, or purchase ready-made minced meat if you are confident in the quality of the finished product. If necessary, defrost the minced meat and place it in a deep bowl. Wash and dry the egg.
STEP 2
Peel the onions and finely chop with a knife. If you prepare the minced meat yourself, you can grind the onions together with the meat in a meat grinder. Add the chopped onions to the minced meat and mix.
STEP 3
Place the crumb of white bread or a loaf broken into pieces into a bowl, pour in milk and leave for 15 minutes for the bread to swell. Using a tablespoon, fork or blender, stir the bread soaked in milk. Add the soaked crumb to the bowl with the minced meat and onions. Mix well.
STEP 4
Beat a raw chicken egg into the minced meat. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Mix the ingredients thoroughly to obtain a homogeneous mass.
STEP 5
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan so that the cutlets are immediately placed in the frying pan and not on the table, otherwise they will stick to the work surface and their shape will be ruined. Wet your hands with cold water. Form the minced meat into small cutlets. When the oil boils, place the cooked cutlets on it.
STEP 6
Fry the cutlets over high heat for about 2 minutes on each side. They should be browned. Then reduce the heat to medium, pour water into the pan with the cutlets. Cover the frying pan with a lid. Simmer the cutlets on the fire under the lid for 15-25 minutes. Focus on your stove. Check periodically to ensure that the water does not evaporate and the cutlets do not begin to burn to the bottom of the pan.
STEP 7
After 15-25 minutes, remove the lid from the pan. Keep the cutlets on the fire for a few more minutes, turning them over so that all the liquid evaporates and the crust on the cutlets dries out a little. Turn off the heat. The cutlets are ready. Serve them to the table with any side dish, for example, mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables and herbs. Bon appetit!
