Jellied pie dough with sour cream and mayonnaise

Excellent dough for pie with any filling! Jellied pies are very easy to prepare. The main thing in this is properly prepared dough. Very often the dough for such a pie turns out to be lean and not very tasty. Therefore, I want to share with you a recipe for sour cream and mayonnaise dough. Try it!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare the dough, all products must be at room temperature. Combine sour cream and mayonnaise in a bowl.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Add chicken eggs to the bowl. Mix the whole mass until smooth.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Sift the flour through a sieve.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add sifted flour, baking soda and a little salt to the dough. Do not add all the flour at once. If necessary, you can then add another 1-2 tablespoons of flour.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Knead a slightly thick, homogeneous dough. Adjust the flour level yourself. The dough should turn out like thick sour cream. You can use this dough to make a pie with any filling. When filling the pie, pour 2/3 of the dough into a baking dish, lay out any filling and pour the remaining dough on top. Just make sure that the filling is not too wet.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

I used this dough for a pie with stewed cabbage and meat. If you are preparing a pie with a savory filling, be sure to sprinkle the top with sesame seeds. Enjoy cooking!

The dough for jellied pie is prepared very quickly and easily from commonly available products. It turns out quite thick and viscous. I took the amount of ingredients for four servings. From this dough I prepared a pie with red and black currants. I poured 2/3 of the dough into a mold with a diameter of 18 cm, placed the berries on top, sprinkled them with sugar and filled them with the remaining dough. I baked the pie for 30 minutes at 180 degrees. When serving, sprinkle the pie with powdered sugar on top. The pie turned out delicious, tender and soft, a little moist inside (due to the berries), but it was baked well. Thank you very much for the dough recipe! A very convenient recipe for quick and easy preparation.
