Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 10 hr
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

We prepared everything we needed. Wash the pears, measure out the sugar and water.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Tear off the branches of the pears and carefully cut out the tails

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour water into a jam bowl (or another wide, low, non-enameled pan), heat it a little and add sugar. Cook the syrup over medium heat, stirring constantly. On average this takes about 15 minutes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Prick the pears in several places with a toothpick, like apples of paradise. This is necessary so that they do not burst during cooking and are quickly saturated with syrup. The punctures should reach approximately the core of the fruit, but so that there are no through holes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add whole pears to the syrup, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring so that all the pears cook evenly and warm up. Turn off and leave until completely cool.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The second time, bring the syrup with pears to a boil and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring. Turn off again and cool.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Cook for the third time until it reaches your desired thickness. Place hot into sterilized jars, close, turn over and cool under a blanket.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

I got this 1,350 liter jar.

I made this kind of jam, only I put pear tails in it, then you take the pear from the jam by the tail and into your mouth, it’s delicious, I’ll make this again
