How to germinate wheat
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to sprout wheat at home for food? Prepare good quality wheat. This can be purchased in eco-shops.
STEP 2
Rinse the wheat well in cold water several times to remove any debris.
STEP 3
Drain all dirty water. It is better to germinate wheat in some wide, spacious container.
STEP 4
Pour clean boiled or purified water over the washed wheat and leave for 8-10 hours.
STEP 5
After this time, drain the water and rinse the wheat well again with clean water. Leave the wheat for another 12-16 hours without water. The water must be drained completely so that the wheat does not sour. The wheat will remain moist and will have enough moisture to germinate, but the top layer may dry out. Therefore, you can take moistened gauze and cover a plate with wheat with it. Don't make too much wheat layer, otherwise it will overheat and freeze.
STEP 6
After the specified time, sprouts should appear. This wheat can already be eaten. If desired, you can leave it for another 8-10 hours to allow it to germinate even more. If the wheat has not sprouted within 2 days, then it should not be eaten.
STEP 7
This wheat was obtained after 8 additional hours. Before use, you must rinse it thoroughly. Sprouted wheat should be stored in the refrigerator. But there the germination process continues, although more slowly. Therefore, it is advisable to consume wheat within 2 days. Bon appetit!
