STEP 1
How to make hot sandwiches in the microwave? Prepare your ingredients. I used a sliced loaf, but toast or regular white bread will do. If your bread or loaf is whole, cut it into slices of the same thickness (about 1 cm) and size.
STEP 2
Tomatoes should not be soft and very juicy, otherwise they will give a lot of juice and the sandwiches will become soggy. Wash the tomato, dry with paper towels and cut into thin slices with a sharp knife.
STEP 3
Choose high-quality and tasty hard cheese, the taste of future sandwiches will depend on this. It should also melt well. Regular hard cheese like Russian will do. You can replace it with unbrined mozzarella or suluguni according to your taste.
STEP 4
Grease slices of loaf or bread with a thin layer of soft butter. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper to your liking.
STEP 5
Cover the plate on which you will place the sandwiches with a paper towel. This is necessary so that during cooking in the microwave the bread does not gain moisture from below.
STEP 6
Place the sandwiches in a circle, leaving the middle empty. This way the heat will be distributed evenly.
STEP 7
Place tomato slices (1-2 pieces) on the loaf slices.
STEP 8
Place slices of cheese on top of tomatoes (1-3 slices per sandwich). Microwave sandwiches on full power for about 1 minute until cheese is melted.
STEP 9
Serve hot cheese sandwiches immediately before they cool down; they won’t be as tasty when cooled down. Before serving, you can sprinkle with any chopped herbs, for example, dill, green onions. I love sesame seeds, so I sprinkled them on top of the sandwiches. To accompany these sandwiches, fresh lettuce leaves and your favorite sauces are suitable. Bon appetit!
