    Prepare the syrup. To do this, mix sugar and 150 ml of water in a thick-bottomed saucepan, bring to a boil and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved.

    Add tomatoes to the syrup, stir and cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes, then remove the pan from the stove and leave to steep for 8-10 hours. After this time, boil the tomatoes again for 15-20 minutes and again leave them to steep for 8 hours. Thanks to this, the tomatoes will be saturated with syrup and retain their appearance.

    Zest half a lemon and squeeze out the juice.

    After the tomatoes have soaked in the syrup for the second time, add lemon juice and zest to them. Bring the jam to a boil and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes.
