STEP 1
How to make gooseberry compote for the winter in a 3-liter jar? Prepare everything according to the list. You will need a minimum set of products. Gooseberries are suitable for any variety. For one three-liter jar you can take from 300 to 500 grams of berries. You will need 2.5 liters of water. up to 3 l.
STEP 2
First of all, set the syrup to boil. Pour sugar into a saucepan and pour in water. I usually prepare several 3-liter jars at a time. This time I had two jars worth of gooseberries. Therefore, I prepared syrup at the rate of 5-6 liters. water plus 600 grams of sugar. Bring the liquid to a boil over high heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 3
Meanwhile, prepare the berries and jars. Remove leaves and debris from the gooseberries; you can leave the tails. Wash the berries in cold water.
STEP 4
Wash the jars thoroughly with soda and sterilize in a water bath or in the oven. Pour about 1 liter into the jar. sweet syrup.
