Galette with tomatoes and cheese
Galette with the aroma of basil, tomatoes and cheese will whet your appetite. Galette is one of the universal dishes. Depending on the filling, it can be either breakfast or an addition to lunch or tea. A juicy galette with tomatoes and cheese can easily replace sandwiches. The fragile dough, aroma of basil and baked cheese make the galette truly delicious.

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Ingredients.
STEP 2

In a bowl, mix warm water, salt, vegetable oil.
STEP 3

Add flour.
STEP 4

Knead soft dough. If necessary, add 1 tbsp. flour. Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.
STEP 5

Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Cut the tomato into half rings approximately 0.5 cm thick. Sprinkle with basil.
STEP 6

We also cut the cheese into slices.
STEP 7

Roll out the dough into a round layer and transfer it to a greased baking sheet using a rolling pin. Roll out the edges thinner than the middle.
STEP 8

Sprinkle some basil in the center.
STEP 9

We spread the filling, alternating slices of tomato and cheese, not reaching 3-4 cm from the edge.
STEP 10

We bend the edges towards the center. Bake at 180 degrees. 40-45 minutes.
STEP 11

The fragrant galette is ready. Let it cool a little and go taste it! Bon appetit!

A great quick snack recipe! The dough is easy to prepare and turns out very tasty. I kneaded the dough according to the recipe and started preparing the filling. My imagination ran wild and filled my galette with not only tomatoes and cheese, but also sausage, herbs and juicy purple onions. I chopped everything finely and placed the filling on the rolled out dough. It turned out incredibly juicy and flavorful! Thanks to the author for the idea!
