Frozen green beans in a frying pan
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to fry frozen green beans in a frying pan? Prepare your food. Beans can be used either purchased or from your own plot. When buying beans in a store, you need to check the expiration date; the bean pods should be easily separated from each other and not stuck together in one lump.
STEP 2
Thaw the beans. How to defrost green beans? This can be done in two ways. Place it in a bowl and put it in the refrigerator so that it thaws gradually. This option is suitable if you need to cook beans for breakfast. For urgent cooking, pour boiling water over frozen beans; it is more convenient to do this by placing the beans in a colander. Under no circumstances should you keep it in warm water, otherwise most of the vitamins will die.
STEP 3
As a rule, beans from the store in bags are frozen, already washed and cut into pieces. If the bean pods are long, then cut them into small pieces that will be convenient to cook and eat. Pour water into a saucepan, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a boil. Carefully lower the beans into the boiling water.
STEP 4
Reduce the heat to medium and cook the beans for about 5 minutes, until al dente - half cooked. In general, beans do not tolerate long-term heat treatment; their taste will deteriorate and the beneficial components will evaporate. Drain the water from the pan and place the beans in a colander.
STEP 5
Peel the garlic cloves. Cut some of the garlic into slices, and finely chop the other with a knife or pass through a press.
STEP 6
Pour a couple of tablespoons of olive oil into a frying pan and heat it well over medium heat. Place slices of garlic in the oil, let it brown so that the garlic gives all its aroma and taste to the oil. Then remove the garlic pieces from the pan. Place boiled beans in garlic oil. Fry the beans over moderate heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring with a spatula, without covering the pan with a lid.
STEP 7
Then add the remaining garlic, stir and continue frying the beans for a couple more minutes. The dish is ready. Serve beans to the table as an independent dish or as a side dish for meat, chicken or fish. Bon appetit!
