I had sauerkraut sitting in my refrigerator unnoticed, and then today in my feed I saw a recipe for fried sauerkraut pies. I immediately decided that I would cook. For the dough, instead of milk, I used whey. I heated it in the microwave and kneaded the dough. It turned out very pleasant, soft and pliable. I washed the cabbage and added it to the already fried onions. I poured a glass of water, added turmeric and paprika, and simmered under the lid. I didn’t add any sugar. The pies fried quite quickly. They turned out soft and tasty. The sauerkraut filling is very interesting. Nasstin, thanks for the recipe!

Excellent recipe. Made 8 servings. Sugar - 4-5 teaspoons. Fried over low heat, because... the crust browns quickly.
