How to cook cabbage soup from fresh cabbage with pork? Prepare everything you need for this. Any part of pork can be used. For the first course, I always take pork on the bone so that the broth is richest.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour water over the pork, put it on the fire and bring to a boil. When heating, foam will appear - it must be removed. Cook the pork for an hour until the meat is tender. Then separate the meat from the bone and cut into pieces. Strain the broth. Return the broth with meat to the heat and bring to a boil again.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the potatoes, rinse and cut into small pieces. Chop fresh cabbage thinly. Add potatoes and cabbage to the meat broth and leave to simmer for 15 minutes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

At this time, start frying vegetables. Peel the onions and carrots and rinse. Grate the carrots and finely chop the onion. Pour a little vegetable oil into a hot frying pan and fry the chopped onions and carrots for 2-3 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cut the tomatoes into cubes and place in a frying pan. Also, add just a little tomato paste. It will give the broth a pleasant tint. Fry everything together, stirring, for 3-5 minutes. Then place the finished roast into the pan.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cook everything together for another 10-15 minutes. Add a little salt and spices to taste. Remove the finished cabbage soup with pork from the heat, cover with a lid and let it brew for a while.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

When serving, add some fresh herbs to the plate. Bon appetit!

Tomatoes in December are not as tasty as we would like, so I used homemade tomatoes. The soup turned out delicious, with the aroma of summer. Julia, thanks for the recipe!

I bring the pork cut into pieces to a boil and drain the first broth. So that excess antibiotics are removed from the meat, the dirty foam comes off and “radiation comes out.” I don't know if it's correct. But I got used to doing this on the advice of my mother, after the sad year of 1986. And by the way, she worked all her life at a meat processing plant and knows, if not everything, then almost everything about meat! Added a twist - diced zucchini. I cooked it without frying the tomatoes, I just sautéed it for 40 seconds. carrots, since my daughter has gastritis.

Thanks for the recipe. Fresh cabbage soup is a favorite first dish in our family. True, I always put potatoes in them to boil along with cabbage, not just in pieces, but whole, and after 20 minutes I take them out, mash them and put the puree in the cabbage soup. They turn out thicker and richer.

Our family loves cabbage soup and borscht. Especially with young cabbage, which becomes especially soft and tender in the first courses, and its taste is much more pleasant than “winter” cabbage. The whole family loved these cabbage soup! I didn't fry the vegetables; I wanted a lighter option. My pork is lean, so it turned out to be quite a dietary soup. I cut the tomatoes into slices and put them directly into the pan; in my opinion, the taste was much softer with them. I used to always cook cabbage soup with tomatoes. After the last boil, I removed the bay leaf from the pan. The light cabbage soup turned out to be very tasty.
