French pie with apples and apricot jam
Tender, delicate apple pie goes well with a scoop of ice cream.
Step-by-step preparation

Mix flour, butter, cold water and egg.

Form a ball from the dough.

Roll out the dough.

Thinly slice the apples.
STEP 6
Place them on the dough and seal the edges.
STEP 7
Sprinkle the pie with sugar and pour melted butter over it. Bake for about 35 minutes.

Mix jam and syrup.
STEP 9
Grease the pie with jam and put it back in the oven for 10 minutes.

A very unusual pie. The dough doesn't taste like shortbread at all. Tender, crumbly, a bit like a puff pastry. It was difficult to coat the apples with a mixture of jam and syrup; they moved out of their place. I had to add another spoonful of syrup. We just happened to be at home, waiting for apricot and cherry syrup. That's why I chose this recipe. I started baking at 180, but after 40 minutes I had to increase the temperature to 200 because... During this time it did not brown at all. I think I should immediately set the oven temperature to 200. I decided that the cake wouldn’t turn out. But the result was pleasing. Very, very tasty! THANK YOU!!!
