Football Field Cake
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Today I will share with you a recipe and tell you how to bake a Football Field cake, which I made as a gift for a young football player. The composition of the cake includes the well-known “Zebra” cake, (at the birthday boy’s request) which is very tasty, and in combination with aromatic impregnation and cream, just a delight for the festive table. So, let's begin. We take the products we need.
STEP 2
Beat the eggs with sugar using a mixer until a white thick foam forms.
STEP 3
Add sour cream and a teaspoon of slaked soda to the eggs.
STEP 4
Continuously whisking, add melted butter.
STEP 5
Without ceasing to beat, add the sifted flour and beat until a homogeneous mass is formed.
STEP 6
Now we carefully divide our dough into two parts. Pour part into another bowl, add 2-3 tbsp to one part. spoons of cocoa, and in the second the same amount of flour, mix. The dough is ready!
STEP 7
We take a rectangular mold, since we need to get the shape of a football field, cover it with parchment paper and grease it with butter. Use a spoon to place the white and black dough in turn.
STEP 8
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place the cake there for approximately 30-40 minutes.
STEP 9
While our cake is browning its sides, we will prepare the cream. The cream is very simple and well known to everyone - it is butter with condensed milk. Beat soft butter.
STEP 10
Gradually introduce condensed milk. We will need a lot of cream, since the cake will be decorated with it.
STEP 11
Now our cake is ready, take it out of the mold and let it cool. Since I needed a big cake to feed the entire football team, I baked another one. Cut it lengthwise and soak it in syrup (sugar and water, I also added vanilla flavor). Grease our cakes with cream and place one on top of the other. Using a knife, carefully cut off the corners.
STEP 12
Chop the scraps and mix with a small amount of cream.
STEP 13
It turns out the so-called potatoes, which we use to line the sides of the cake.
STEP 14
Let's move on to the design of the football field. Using a pastry syringe or bag, we begin to decorate our field. First we make a border around the entire perimeter of the cake.
STEP 15
Then we divide the field in half and draw a circle in the center.
STEP 16
Then we decorate the sides of the cake.
STEP 17
Add green dye to the remaining cream.
STEP 18
Stir until the color is uniform.
STEP 19
Fill the top of the cake.
STEP 20
This will be our grass on the field.
STEP 21
Next, I placed a goal made of icing, and placed a mastic ball in the center.
