Duck with quince in the oven
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake duck with quince in the oven in a sleeve? Prepare the products according to the list. If you take a frozen bird, defrost it in advance on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Instead of salt and pepper, you can use your favorite seasonings.
STEP 2

Wash the quince well, dry and cut into medium slices. Peel the garlic and cut the cloves into four parts.
STEP 3

Prepare the marinade - mix honey, mustard and salt and pepper in one bowl.
STEP 4

Wash the duck, dry it with paper towels and spread the marinade on all sides and inside.
STEP 5

Fill the belly of the bird with chopped quince and garlic.
STEP 6

Wrap the prepared duck in cling film and leave to marinate in the refrigerator overnight, or even longer (up to 24 hours). This way the duck meat will marinate well and be more tender.
STEP 7

Before putting in the oven, wrap the wings and legs of the marinated duck with foil so that they do not burn too much.
STEP 8

Wrap the bird in a baking sleeve, secure the ends with clips and pierce the sleeve in several places with a toothpick to release steam. Place the duck in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 2-2.5 hours.
STEP 9

After time has passed, check the readiness of the duck and, if necessary, open the sleeve and leave in the oven for another 10-15 minutes to form a golden brown crust.
STEP 10

Serve the finished baked duck stuffed with quince hot. Bon appetit!
