Dry salted lard
Tasty, healthy and natural product. A very simple and successful recipe for salting lard, although not the fastest. But you can enjoy its taste all winter long. You can store it in three-liter jars in the basement and take it out as needed.
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
In this recipe I will tell you how to prepare dry-salted lard for the winter. The process of salting lard may seem a little lengthy, but only by following all the conditions of the recipe can you get a quality product. So, let's prepare the products according to the list.
STEP 2
Cut the pieces of lard into strips 8-10 centimeters wide.
STEP 3
Rub each piece of lard with salt on all sides.
STEP 4
Sprinkle the bottom of a deep container of a suitable size with coarse salt in a layer of 0.5 cm.
STEP 5
Lay out the strips in rows.
STEP 6
Sprinkle each row thoroughly with salt, especially the top pieces. During salting, the lard will take only the required amount of salt; do not be afraid to oversalt it.
STEP 7
The first sample can be taken after 20-25 days.
