Dessert Apple clouds

These airy apple clouds are just begging to be tasted! The clouds turn out very gentle. They taste like marshmallows, but much softer. You can adjust the sweetness of the clouds to your taste; you can completely remove the powdered sugar if the apples are very sweet, or, on the contrary, add more. By the way, you can make applesauce yourself or buy ready-made baby food (I made it myself). The original recipe was with a date base, so I prepared it that way, but next time I’ll cook without it, the taste of the dates is too strong and the base overpowers the tenderness of the clouds, but that’s for my taste)) and everyone’s tastes are different :) Help yourself , This is delicious!

Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 3 hr
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Ingredients

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour warm (boiled) water over the dates and leave for 10 minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add powdered sugar to the applesauce (you can use the amount to your taste) and mix.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add gelatin and leave for 5 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Meanwhile, remove the pits from the dates. Place dates, cocoa and nuts in the food processor bowl.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Grind everything thoroughly, if the mixture turns out to be too dry, then add a little water in which the dates were soaked, and if it is too sticky, add some nuts. (I added a few more nuts).

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

We cover the form with baking paper, lightly grease the paper with vegetable oil. We spread the date mixture, level it and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Heat the applesauce with gelatin, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. We do not boil the mass! Leave to cool to room temperature.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Beat the cooled applesauce until soft peaks form; the mixture will increase in volume and lighten in color. (Beating time depends on the power of the mixer; it took me 15 minutes).

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Place the resulting apple soufflé on top of the base and level it out. Place in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours until completely frozen.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

We free the clouds from the paper, cut them and are ready to serve. Bon appetit!

Anna, I really hope you like the dessert. Only, I don’t know why, but compared to strawberry puree, it took me 15 minutes longer to whip apple puree, but in the end it turned out very tasty, only next time I’ll cook it without the date base, otherwise it’s too sweet for me: )

Did you make your own applesauce or buy it ready-made or grind it fresh?
