Deep fried cheese balls

STEP 1

Prepare the indicated products for making deep-fried balls. The balls will be cheese, so you should pay special attention to the cheese. For the recipe, it is better to take hard cheese with a fat content of 40 - 45%. I take Parmesan. If you take cheese with a higher fat content, it may not retain its shape and for this you will have to bread it. Soft cheese is better for a runny center. There is one large egg, but it is better to take two medium ones so that the dough comes together.
STEP 2

Grate the selected hard cheese on a medium grater. The size of the grater on which the cheese will be grated does not affect the final result. It’s just that if you grate it on a coarse one, then the cheese particles will be more clearly expressed in the finished dish. And for a more uniform consistency, it is better to grate on medium.
STEP 3

Add eggs and sifted flour and salt to the grated cheese. Knead the dough until it becomes elastic and does not stick to your hands.
STEP 4

The finished dough now needs to be divided into balls. There are two ways to do this, the first is to pinch off a piece of dough and roll it into balls in your hands. Second, divide the dough into parts, roll a rope from each part and cut off pieces from it and roll them into balls.
STEP 5

Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan. There should be enough oil to completely or almost completely cover the balls themselves. When the oil is hot, fry the balls in the oil over medium heat, dropping each ball and frying it evenly on each side. Place the finished balls on paper napkins to remove excess fat.
STEP 6

It is better to cool the finished balls a little to avoid troubles. The balls are good both warm and cooled, but it is not recommended to store them for future use. They will be a wonderful decoration for a hospitable table, decorating a beer or wine plate of appetizers. You can complement these balls with some tasty sauce.
