Currants pureed with sugar
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make currants pureed with sugar for the winter? Prepare the necessary products that will be required for cooking. You will need the berry itself - black currants and granulated sugar.
STEP 2

Black currants must be carefully sorted, all “tails”, leaves and sometimes twigs removed. Rinse the berries themselves thoroughly, sort them, and feel free to remove suspiciously soft and spoiled currants. Place clean currants in a colander or large sieve to drain, then place in a blender bowl.
STEP 3

Blend the blackcurrants at maximum speed until fairly smooth.
STEP 4

Place granulated sugar in a large spacious bowl or saucepan, add blackcurrant puree and slowly, very carefully mix with a tablespoon.
STEP 5

The result will be a homogeneous thick mass; granulated sugar should completely dissolve. Place the resulting currant preparation with sugar in containers that must first be sterilized as for conventional preservation. Seal tightly and store in the refrigerator, close to the cold wall.
