  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to cook crumbly buckwheat porridge in water in a saucepan? Prepare everything you need for this.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse buckwheat well several times in cold water. After rinsing, clean water should remain. Then drain all the water from the buckwheat.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Heat the frying pan until hot and pour vegetable oil into it. Add buckwheat and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. You can change the frying time a little after several preparations, when you taste the finished porridge.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour water into a saucepan and place on fire. Bring to a boil and add all the fried buckwheat. Stir. Bring the water with buckwheat to a boil and add a little salt. Cover with a lid and turn the heat to low. Leave the porridge to cook very slowly for 15-20 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

The finished porridge will completely absorb all the water. To understand this, use a spoon or spatula to push the porridge from the edge to the very bottom. There shouldn't be any water there. But at the same time, make sure that the porridge does not start to burn. There is very little time between the finished porridge and the burnt one!

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Remove the pan from the heat, stir the buckwheat and serve. Buckwheat porridge is a hearty and healthy side dish for meat gravy, for example! You can serve it with minced meat, mushrooms or just sour cream.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

It’s also very tasty to simply pour milk over the prepared buckwheat porridge and add a little sugar. Bon appetit!

It seems like I’ve been cooking buckwheat all my life, but I haven’t tried it like this yet. Although my buckwheat is always crumbly, I wanted to try this fried version. While I was frying the cereal, I was thinking how long to keep it on the fire, I had never had such experience. But after some time I really felt that same aroma and realized by the appearance of the buckwheat that it was time to take it off the stove. I immediately transferred the fried buckwheat into a saucepan, and then poured boiling water over it. To make sure the porridge does not burn, bring it to a boil, simmer for about five minutes over low heat and turn off the heat. I left the pan with the lid closed on the cooling stove. After about 15 minutes, the water was absorbed into the cereal and the buckwheat became crumbly. Fried buckwheat tastes interesting and unusual; I would leave it as a side dish for meat dishes. For sweet porridge with milk, it seems to me that it is better not to fry the buckwheat, but this is a matter of taste. I recommend everyone to try this side dish!

After pre-frying the cereal in a frying pan and adding vegetable oil, not butter, the buckwheat really turned out crumbly and rich in taste. Thanks for the recipe: crumbly buckwheat porridge with water in a saucepan!

I fry the washed cereal in a dry frying pan until it has a characteristic aroma, you will feel it yourself when frying, then pour it into a casserole, put a little butter (to taste, you can’t spoil the porridge with butter, depending on how you like it), put it on the fire, stir it well so that every grain is covered oil, pour boiling water and simmer in the oven over low heat for an hour and a half. It turns out grain to grain and aroma....!!!

Unusual taste, but delicious) I made it with 200 grams of cereal, enough for three of us. I recommend everyone to try this version of porridge. A good side dish.
